Holy, Holy, Lord Most High, guide us how to live by your will and grow by your Word. Help us to shower others with your love and grant us hope in your Word. We pray these things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Faith is a gift given to us by the Holy Spirit and it must be nurtured in order to grow. That is why we must face trials in our lives, so we can exercise our faith muscles. Our faith is constantly being tested so that we can make sure that our base faith is deeply rooted in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Please read Matthew 25: 1-13, "The Parable Of The Ten Virgins." The Lord is inviting us into his kingdom but we must be prepared by continuously growing in our faith. The parable refers to taking extra oil in jars so that the virgins would not run out of oil in order to keep the lamps lit until the hour that the bridegroom arrived to take them to the wedding banquet. Now as you reread this parable insert the word Faith in place of oil and the name of Jesus instead of the bridegroom. Look carefully at these verses! Also, remember this verse to live by: Galatians 5:14 - The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love and Blessings, Cheryl Special Scripture Reading
